Respawn Entertainment software engineer Jon Shiring was adamant that their team wants Titanfall to sell based on more than just looks or feel. He insisted that every aspect of the game was “awesome”.

“We’re not going to try to say, ‘You should buy this game for technical reasons’. The game is awesome on all fronts – the gameplay is really new and different, and I think that’s what people want.”

Shiring went on discuss the positives of Titanfall’s utilization of Microsoft’s Xbox one cloud technology:

“The extra bandwidth is what lets us build a world with moving objects, and the available CPU is what lets us do things like AI. It’s not just a bullet flying through the air and moving and causing network data, it’s an actual AI that’s making decisions and trying to shoot at things and looking around,” he said in a recent interview with OXM.

Titanfall is due this March for the Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360. For more on Titanfall check out its hub page here.
