Retail Version of Minecraft Delayed for the Xbox 360

Those who wanted a physical copy of Minecraft will be disappointed

The retail version of Minecraft was originally supposed to come out on April 30th in form of a physical disc. However, this specified release date has now been pushed back to June 4th. While Microsoft confirmed the delay, they did not say why.

Minecraft is currently only available through Xbox Live Marketplace. The retail version will allow players to play the game without having an internet connection.

Physical copy of Minecraft will retail for $19.99 and it will include all the same features and content that is in the downloadable version. This version of the game also has the new additions from the all the title updates.
