Tangledeep

Impact Gameworks’ Tangledeep has been announced for Nintendo Switch. As a dungeon crawler inspired by the classic RPGs of the 16-bit era, Tangledeep features numerous characters to choose from, 12 jobs to master, over 100 skills, and plenty of items to discover. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Featuring a mix of procedurally generated and handcrafted gameplay, Tangledeep’s combat is tactical and turn-based. It has a wide variety of things to do – including capturing and raising monsters, Item Dreams that act as mini-dungeons, and daily/weekly challenge runs. More than 10 modifiers are available to customize the difficulty as one pleases. Alternatively, you can play it like a true roguelike with a permadeath mode.

The Nintendo Switch version promises new controls and a new UI (with a new Ring Menu), support for handheld and docked modes, and a new starting area, the Riverstone Waterway. New monsters like the Polarattler, Hardshell, and Saboteur have also been added. Tangledeep will release on January 31st for the Nintendo Switch.
