Sony showed the PS4 yesterday but one thing we didn’t get to see was the PS4 box which logic suggests should have been shown at the conference.

However, Sony world wide studios president believes it wasn’t necessary since it’s just a box and that’s nothing important.

Dualshock 4 was more important than the PS4 box, he reveals.

“The console is just a box. The controller was very important to show because it has the share button, but the console is just a console,” Shuhei Yoshida told Polygon.

They are also trying to decide whether to show the console at E3 or not.

“We’re still trying to decide that,” he added, when quizzed about that.

You can check out our complete coverage of the PS4 here. Sony revealed a lot of games and features at their conference, and most people were impressed except this part, which has now been clarified.
