RIDE 6

Milestone has unveiled the latest entry in its bike racing series – RIDE 6. The title was announced with a new trailer below. It will be released as on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on February 12. There will also advanced access available from February 9 onwards. However, whether this advanced access will be available through pre-ordering or a more expensive edition is currently unknown.

RIDE 6 features a brand new career mode, dubbed RIDE Fest, which has been envisioned as a touring festival that also allows players to progress through its systems at their own pace. In RIDE Fest, players will step into the shoes of a real rider that is racing to become the number one racer in the world by taking on 10 two-wheel legends. Some of the real-world riders in the title include Casey Stoner, Troy Bayliss and Guy Martin.

The racing title is slated to feature more than 340 motorcycles across 21 different manufacturers. These bikes will span across 7 distinct categories, and RIDE 6 is slated to offer the most diverse line-up of bikes that players have seen throughout the franchise. Some of the new bikes include Bagger and Maxi Enduro bikes, which upon up entirely new riding experiences.

These bikes can taken for a spin across 45 different tracks that are set in locations from around the world. Along with real-world, iconic race tracks, RIDE 6 will also offer up fictional track layouts that can put players’ skills to the test. The variety offered in the upcoming game ranges from real world-class circuits to road races and even kart tracks. RIDE 6 will also mark the first title in the franchise to offer off-road races where players will be tasked with fast-paced bike riding through dirt and gravel.

RIDE 6 has been developed using Unreal Engine 5, and Milestone has slated that the visuals are set to be like no other game in the franchise before. The title will also have a focus on the realism of riding bikes thanks to its more lifelike bike sounds and upgraded visuals. Along with this, there is a new dual-physics system which allows players to pick between Pro and Arcade experiences.

Arcade experience is slated to be designed for newcomers to the franchise, while the Pro experience will be the racing title at its most in-depth, offering “the highest level of simulation” along with a host of different assists that can be enabled or disable to give players greater control over their racing experience.

As for new players, the Riding School is making a return, and will offer quite a few challenges with their own rewards that make learning how to play the title a fun experience. Along with this, the multiplayer modes of RIDE 6 are also slated to offer full cross-platform multiplayer, as well as split-screen multiplayer. There is also going to be an emphasis on player-created content thanks to the Race Creator as well as an advanced editor for the bikes.
