Ridge Racer Slipstream En Route For Mobile

Ridge Racer goes mobile.

Posted By | On 05th, Dec. 2013

Namco Bandai have announced that Ridge Racer Slipstream is in the works for mobile platforms. Ridge Racer Slipstream represents the newest installment in the franchise from Namco Bandai, and, as can be inferred from it’s title, will have a heavy emphasis on slipstreaming.

Slipstreaming is a racing term in which one car tails another in order to decrease the amount of wind resistance on their car, thereby increasing the speed with which they can accelerate, allowing for fast bursts of speed whereby opposing cars can be overtaken. Ridge Racer Slipstream will feature a number of different gaming modes, a fully realized soundtrack, and a number of challenging race tracks.

Here are some of the other highlights we can expect:

• The ability to personalize 12 unique vehicles with a variety of colors, rims, body kits and vinyls for more than 300 customization possibilities.

• A full-featured Career Mode and three different race types in Arcade Mode (Regular / Quick / Knockout Races).

• 108 different racing competitions across 6 Grand Prix Series – all in beautiful, high definition location
