Now the main object of video games is for players to enjoy them (at least that’s what I grew up to believe). However there are players who would happily pay the company that developed the game, more money in order to level up, instead of just playing the game the old fashioned way. Basically You give Namco a big bag of money to buy a role-playing game, then if that were not enough you give them more money to buy the “Lv. UP +10” DLC to play it for you. This means the company did a great job of just convincing you to just flat-out buy extra levels.
