Trion Worlds’ RIFT has gone free to play. The developer announced the same today and revealed three new digital bundles for the game. Thankfully, you’ll still be able to access all 16 major updates for the game along with the main released.

Scott Hartsman, CEO of Trion Worlds stated that, “Steam has been an amazing partner for Trion. When we first launched Rift, Steam’s dedicated community of gamers helped bring our vision of a dynamic, exciting world to life. We’re thrilled to now bring the free version of the game to the largest network of PC gamers online.”

The digital bundles are detailed as follows, according to the developer’s blog:

Rift Ascended Edition ($19.99)

  • $10 Credit Pack (500 Credits)
