Popular teenage character Rise Kujikawa from Shin Megami Tensei: Persona IV and the PS Vita version SMT: Persona 4 Golden, sill be a playable character in the upcoming fighter, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, according to a Gematsu report (via Japanese gaming mag Famitsu).

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is the sequel to the Persona 4 Arena. The original Arena featured Persona 4 characters such as Yosuke, Chie and Yukiko as playable characters in the game’s roster, however, Rise was only a non playable character. It is good to see, then, that she will be making an appearance as a playable character in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was one of the several spinoff Personas titles to be announced to go with the official announcement and confirmation of Persona 5 in November of last year. Arena Ultimax’s Wester release has already been confirmed by Atlus. It is due out this fall, and it’s going to be available for the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
