Rocksteady Confirms Its Next Game Is Not Superman, Will Not Be Announced at The Game Awards

Well, now what? We’re back to square one again.

People have been waiting for a new Rocksteady game for over three years now. In recent months, rumors about what that new game might be have started coming in thick, but we still have no confirmation. Rocksteady has not shown up at several events it was rumoured to be unveiling its next project at, but with over 10 games confirmed to be revealed at The Game Awards this year, there may have been many hoping for their next project to be unveiled to the world at last.

Yeah, that’s not happening. In a tweet, Rocksteady’s Founder Sefton Hill confirmed that Rocksteady will not be announcing their new project there. He also took this moment to shoot down one of the most popular rumours there is regarding what said new project might be: he confirmed, explicitly, that it’s not Superman.

Which still leaves, well, everything else on the table. It also causes me to ask why exactly the game, after at least three and a half years in development, still can’t even be shown off, but these folks are masters of their craft, so I’ll let them take their time.
