Everyone’s favorite amateur game creation tool, RPG Maker, will have its newest version launching on October 23. RPG Maker MV will be coming with support for multiple platforms, better map creation and editing tools, an event system built in, a bank of resources, two different kinds of battle modes, support for multiple inputs, support for high resolutions, and support for plug ins.

All in all, it is very extensive- extensive enough that you should be able to make a full featured 16-bit era RPG without any issues. RPG Maker MV is up to pre-order  on Steam or the RPG Maker official website right now- and if you get the game from one of those places, you will get 10% off on the final price, knocking the price of the suite down to $71.99 instead of its standard $79.99.

RPG Maker MV will launch on October 23, for Mac OS X and Windows. Stay tuned for more coverage.
