Although it may still be a while before the next generation of Nvidia’s graphics cards are released, we’re already learning just how powerful these cards can be. Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang stated at GTC Japan (via DSO Gaming) that the RTX 2080 and RTX 2080Ti will both be able to run the latest games at 4K and 60 FPS, even without the use of Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS).

The RTX 2080, according to Huang, will be able to run the latest games at 4K at 60 FPS, while the RTS 2080Ti will be able to perform even better. Of course, you should keep in mind that 60 FPS is the average benchmark – rather than being a lock – so it’s possible that games may still occasionally drop below this. It’s certainly impressive, and the difference will be even more pronounced if we take DLSS into consideration.

Nvidia has been making excellent strides with its hardware lately, so it isn’t surprising to see them making such statements, nor are they hard to believe. For instance, recently they also revealed their Quatro RTX cards, which are built for Ray Tracing tech and support Turing architecture, and support very impressive specs all around.
