Rumour: Halo remake being done by 343 Industries?

Posted By | On 30th, Nov. 2010

The latest issue of Gamesmaster has bought along a massive rumour regarding what the next Halo title could be.

Instead of taking the series forward, 343 Industry’s latest Halo game could actually be a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved.

According to them, the game will be in HD (oreally?) and will be developed using the Halo: Reach engine.

This remake is supposed to pave the way for the full blown next title in the series.

In case you didn’t know, 343 Industries have taken over the torch from Bungie, who bid adieu to Microsoft after developing Halo: Reach.

We think the chances of this rumour being true are pretty solid. Why? Because it’s always better to go back to something successful with a new studio rather than trying to build a completely new experience.

Thanks, CVG.
