Rumour – Next Xbox won’t have any disc drive

Posted By | On 09th, Mar. 2012

So, we have another rumour from MCV, which says that the next Xbox won’t have any disc drives. They are reporting that Microsoft has briefed their partners about this, and the next Xbox most certainly won’t have any disc drive.

Also the NDA was incredibly strict, as expected, but somehow MCV managed to get hold of this news. They are also saying that Microsoft may go with a flash based storage for their games, although, something tells me it will it’s just not feasible considering the cost.

There have been a lot of rumours regarding next gen consoles, and this circus will continue till the platform holders actually reveal their consoles. A 2013 release date has been confirmed, which is funny, because MCV’s earlier rumour was both Sony and MS will release their consoles in 2012.
