The rumour mill has been turning recently regarding the possibility of an upcoming firmware update for the PS4. This major firmware update is thought to be “not too far out” according to the European PlayStation Blog Manager Fred Dutton.
Today however, industry insider Tidux has said that the new firmware will be released around or on the 29th of March, he said, “The new FW will be released on or around 29/3 #PS4.” Tidux isn’t exactly an “insider” on the same level of Shinobi, but he has in the past revealed information about upcoming PlayStation 4 system updates.
He also believes that this update will bring in new features. In the mean time, it’s best taking this with a grain of salt as it may well just be rumour-mongering, but it’s been a while since the last major update so perhaps there’s some truth in this.
