Rune 2

Human Head Studios’ Rune: Ragnarok returned earlier in the year renamed and rebranded as simply Rune II. The game is a sequel to 2000’s Rune and despite dropping Ragnarok from the official title, it seems the Viking-themed end times still plays a big part as evident by the new trailer, titled Loki’s Ages of Ragnarok.

The trailer can be seen below. It’s narrator is a rather angry sounding Viking gentlemen who promises that there will be a lot of death, and with each death things become deadlier, but he will become stronger as well. It shows off some of the combat with the likes of frost giants and dragons, something that’ll be familiar to Norse mythology fans as you tear through the Apocalypse. You also get a look at the various outfits and armors you’ll find in the game.

Rune II is scheduled to come out this Summer on the PC, and it will available only through the Epic Games Store.
