Split Fiction

Split Fiction has shown increasing promise with each showing since its announcement in December, as you’d expect from a Hazelight Studios game, and the hype machine continues to do its thing. As the co-op action-adventure title’s launch draws nearer, publisher Electronic Arts has released another new trailer, this time highlighting a beloved Hazelight tradition.

The developer has always sold its co-op titles with what it calls the Friend’s Pass, which allows two players to play a game with just one purchased copy. It returns in Split Fiction as well, with support for cross-platform play confirmed. Someone who, say, buys the game on a PS5 will be able to invite a friend on Xbox Series X/S to play with them.

Check out the trailer below for a primer on how it will work. Split Fiction went gold close to a month ago, and launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 6.
