GSC Game World has released patches and hotfixes big and small for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl at a pretty regular clip since the open world shooter’s release, and that work is continuing apace. As the studio continues working on improvements and additional polish for the title in response to feedback from players, it has released another patch – patch 1.2.1 – this time to address a handful of crashing issues in particular.

There have, of course, been a couple of major patches since S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s release last November that have brought significant fixes and overhauls. It’s fair to say that this is, in comparison a remarkably more small-scale fix. If, however, you’ve been facing crashes under any of these specific circumstances, thankfully, those issues should be addressed with this patch. You can check out the full patch notes below.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is available on Xbox Series X/S and PC> GSC Game World says it currently has no plans for a PS5 port.

PATCH NOTES:

  • Fixed one of the crashes on loading save files related to AI logic.
  • Fixed one of the crashes on loading save files that were recorded when player had effects applied.
  • Fixed a few crashes related to lightning ball anomaly interaction with artifacts.
  • Fixed crash mostly occurred when moving away from hubs and during the Emission.
