Sacred 3 Has Been Delayed

But here's a new trailer for you.

Sacred 3, the third installment in the game series that keeps changing genres (the second game, Sacred Citadel, was a side scrolling brawler) and is being brought to us by Keen Games and Deep Silver, has just been delayed to a Summer 2014 release, Deep Silver announced via a brand new trailer for the game (see above) today.

The game was originally announced for a release in 2012 (with a 2013 release planned for PC), as a direct follow up to Sacred Citadel (which itself eventually launched in 2013 on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Steam).

There has been no reason given yet for the game’s delay, but honestly, at this point, as it stands, they’re probably best off moving the game to the (otherwise completely barren) Xbox One and PlayStation 4, alongside the PC (or at least porting it to them). It would get the game maximum exposure, and it would ensure that it would be relevant after the launch of the next gen systems has made PS3 and Xbox 360 games ‘obsolete.’
