We now know the entire roster of Samurai Shodown after several weeks of teasing. Now developers SNK and publisher Athlon Games are showing off the cast in new character trailers. First up is the long-running featured character, Nakoruru. She’s been part of the cast since the very first game for the NeoGeo in 1993, and has been in the roster for almost every entry of the Samurai Shodown series.

She’s young, fast, and nimble, and uses the assistance of her pet hawk, Mamahaha. The trailer shows off her speed and ability to deflect, and the end shows that despite her youth, she’s not afraid to get rather bloody. You can see the trailer, which also shows off the series’ new comic book styled visual style, below.

Samurai Shodown is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One June 27th, with a Switch version in Q4 2019 and a PC version at a later date. While you wait, you can check out a 40 minute gameplay preview from PAX East, and take a look at the recently announced NeoGeo Collection.
