Samurai Shodown’s New Trailer Reveals New Characters, Confirms Release Date

The avalanche of news for SNK’s upcoming Samurai Shodown continues, with a new trailer that shows off the remaining roster as well as the release date, which is June 27th 2019. You can see the trailer below.

The game features a 16 character roster, with 13 returning characters and three brand new, original ones being added to the franchise. The first of the three, Darli Dagger, was revealed and detailed earlier at PAX East. The other two are Wu-Ruxiang, a female fighter who serves the Quing empire and relies on divine powers, and Yashamaru Kurama, a male character who uses the mysterious power of the tengu passed down from his ancestors. With them, we now have seen every character in the base roster.

Samurai Shodown with release June 27th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A Switch version is expected Q4 2019, with a PC release at a later date.
