Contextualizing the loot, literally.
Microsoft and Rare’s Sea of Thieves looks primed to do great, if the response to the beta, an the Twitch viewership the game managed to accrue, are any indication. The game will be a shared world co-op multiplayer pirate themed action adventure game- and if the success of games like Destiny and Monster Hunter has shown us anything, it’s that games like these, done well, can really resonate with audiences.
But it won’t just be about the multiplayer, either- Rare has crafted a gorgeous world, and filled it with some compelling lore and narrative- at least, that’s what the brand new trailer for the game, which highlights its story, seems to suggest.
You can check out this new story trailer for yourself below. Sea of Thieves, which is Rare’s first non-Kinect project in a decade, is due to release on Xbox One and PCs running Windows 10 on March 20 this year.
