Sea of Thieves Kraken Boss’ First Images Leaked

The terror of the high seas is unleashed in Rare's new game.

Rare’s Pirate Epic is set to come out on Xbox One and Windows 10 next month, and thanks to a new leak we’re getting a look at one of the more interesting random elements that players can encounter on the high seas in the game.

The Kraken, which Rare calls more of a force of nature than a boss that can be beaten, is absolutely monstrous. Although, beware, spoilers in the gallery after this article. We recommend not reading or seeing any further if you don’t want to be spoiled.

The Kraken attacks players and ships with its eight, massive tentacles, which all need to be taken out in order to set your ship free from the beast’s hold. The leaked images suggest that this task is easier said than done, but players are supposed to be handsomely rewarded for killing the Kraken and living to tell the tale. Are you excited to try the game when it launches? Let us know down in the comments.
