Rare’s Sea of Thieves looks to be one of the most charming and promising upcoming titles due to hit Microsoft’s Xbox One console. Everything we have seen of the game reeks of the kind of inventive and whimsical charm that Rare as a development studio used to be known for, and all impressions from those who have actually gone hands on with the game have been overwhelmingly positive. In other words, it seems as though Rare are back.

If you want further proof of that classic, trademark Rare charm being back in this game in full flow, these screenshots that you can see below will probably sell you on the premise. They are charming, stylish, and highly distinct, everything that Rare used to be known for back in the day. They are dripping with whimsy, and should be enough to make anyone swoon.
