Sea of Thieves Looks Great In This New Gamescom Footage

20 minutes of a pirate's life on the high seas.

Sea of Thieves

Rare’s Sea of Thieves looks absolutely great- there is no denying that. It looks like Rare, after a generation largely full of missteps, and side ventures like Xbox avatars and Kinect games, are back to doing what they do best- making great and charming games like nothing else in the industry.

That charm comes through in these 20 minutes of gameplay footage that DualShockers recorded while at Gamescom- the game looks to be incredibly fun (yes, it looks to be as fun as the cheesy commentary during the gameplay footage at Microsoft’s E3 made it out to be), and it seems like it will unite all players, as they try to work together, as one pirate crew.

Apparently, that coordination will be necessary, because Sea of Thieves practically requires it to even navigate your ship. I’m a fan of everything that I am hearing, and I can’t wait for the game to release next year on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
