Take up work with different factions, embark on Voyages and earn reputation for sweet gold.

Rare’s Sea of Thieves is one of the bigger releases next year and in a new developer video, the game’s progression system is revealed. How will players become more legendary in their time spent with Sea of Thieves? Check out the video below.

The progression system is dictated by taking on quests aka Voyages for different NPCs across organizations to earn reputation. Some of those organizations include The Gold Hoarders whom you can earn reputation with as you find more gold for them. The Merchant Alliance is all about locating supplies and moving resources.

If combat is more your thing, then The Order of Souls will grant combat missions, battling skeleton crews and their leaders. More reputation leads to higher ranks as you earn more gold and unlock tougher Voyages. Then there are Commendations which offer unique titles for those who earn them.

Sea of Thieves is out on March 20th 2018 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
