IGN’s Summer of Gaming is raging on in full swing, and it looks like fans will be treated to exciting new reveals from developers across the globe. To that effect, IGN recently took to Twitter to release a short teaser for a “world premiere exclusive” from Sega.

The teaser itself, lasting for a few seconds, is entirely comprised of animal sounds. Many have pointed out that these are actually dolphin sounds, which has led to speculation that a return of Ecco the Dolphin is imminent. Given that Sega is re-introducing games from its back catalog with the likes of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, the prospect of Ecco the Dolphin returning doesn’t sound all that strange.

Meanwhile, Creative Assembly has also been working on a Sega-themed multiplayer sci-fi shooter– it’s possible that that’s the game that ends up getting revealed.

Meanwhile, with Sonic Frontiers looming over the horizon, it’s unlikely that the new game is related to the blue blur. Either way, we will get to know when the event kicks off tomorrow at 10 am PT/6 pm BST. Until then, stay tuned for all updates.
