Sega recently announced the Game Gear Micro on the occasion of their 60th anniversary, and have now unveiled new details on the micro handheld system, which launches in Japan on October 6. The price, as we reported earlier, is 4,980 yen, which is roughly $46, and the handheld will come in four different colours- red, black, blue, and yellow. Each will come with a different library of pre-loaded games.

The black version will have Sonic the Hedgehog, Out Run, Royal Stone, and Puyo Puyo. The red version will have The G.G. Shinobi, Revelations: The Demon Slayer, Columns, and Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special. The blue version will come with Sonic and Tails, Baku Baku Animal, Gunstar Heroes, and Sylvan Tale. Finally, the yellow Game Gear Micro will come with Nazo Puyo Arle no Roux, Shining Force Gaiden, Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict, and Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya.

With a 1 inch screen and total dimensions of 80 mm x 43 mm x 20 mm, it’s a pretty small system (it can literally fit in the palm of your hand). As such, Sega have also unveiled the magnifying accessory called Big Window Micro.

It hasn’t been confirmed for now whether the Game Gear Micro will be releasing outside of Japan.
