Treyarch and Activision finally announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 yesterday, and one of the shockers of the announcement was that the game was coming only to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. When Activision was asked about the possibility of it coming to last gen systems, or the Wii U, they declined to comment.
That said, it appears that the game will be hitting at the very least the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 after all. Although Treyarch won’t be working on it, it sounds like High Moon Studios is involved in the development of the port. The port’s existence has been leaked by several retailers in Europe, with listings for the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of the game (see image below, coming from Dutch retailer BOT).
Does this mean, then, that the game is indeed coming to last gen systems? What about the Wii U? Unfortunately, right now, we have no official word, and these retailer listings are all we can go on. That said, we will keep you posted on any further developments. Stay tuned.
