Shadowrun Hong Kong

Harebrained Schemes will be returning to the Shadowrun franchise with its latest Kickstarter project Shadowrun: Hong Kong which will be set in Hong Kong during the year 2056.

Like its other Shadowrun projects, Harebrained saw incredible success with the crowd-funding as Shadowrun: Hong Kong managed to cross its original $100,000 funding goal in just a few hours. It currently stands at a whopping $300,542 pledged by 7,446 backers.

Having passed its original funding goal, the developer can use the extra funds for other features including animatic scene transitions, Racter as a companion, more animatic endings and Gobbet’s side mission.

Harebrained has described Shadowrun: Hong Kong as having everything one would expect from the studio. “Strong storytelling and sharp writing, lots of morally gray choices, a crew of memorable characters with distinct personalities, challenging tactical turn-based combat, a robust character creation system, and a one of a kind cyberpunk-meets-magic game setting that’s endured for over 25 years.”
