All the recent news about Shenmue III seems to have been boiling in controversy about the game’s seemingly last minute Epic Games Stores exclusivity for the PC version that soured many fans, including many backers who put in the original Kickstarter. Well, that’s a mess and obviously there’s some strong feelings about all that, but today via the Japan Expo in Paris, we hopefully got something that would prove to be a little less controversial with some new screenshots and footage of the game.

At the Expo, Director Yu Suzuki sat down for a panel that focused on his storied career in the game’s industry, as well as bits and pieces about the game like how different play testers play games in different ways that color their experience and thoughts on a game. When it came to Shenmue III, we got to see new screenshots and concept art, alongside some new footage that includes characters, settings and some minigames including, yes, the infamous forklift game. There’s also an unexpected cameo from another legendary Japanese director. Check it all out below.

Shenmue III will release for PlayStation 4 and PC on November 19th, and make sure you clear out the space, because apparently it’s going to be a big game.
