Game Overview:
Shenmue 3 is an action adventure title developed by Ys Net and published by Deep Silver.
It is a direct sequel to 2001’s Shenmue 2 and continues the saga of Ryo Hazuki’s quest for revenge against his father’s killer. After a decade in development hell, a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign was kicked off for the game following its announcement at E3 2015.
Publishing rights for Shenmue 3, which released for PS4 and PC in 2019, recently passed from Deep Silver to ININ.
Series creator Yu Suzuki suggests Shenmue 4 isn't currently in the works, but says he would like it to have broader appeal than its predecessors.
The publisher seems to be strongly suggesting that it's collaborating with Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki for a fourth instalment.
According to Dealabs, the Epic Games Store will give out a total of 15 free games starting from December 16th up until January 6th.
This would make it a year of EGS exclusivity.
