Shenmue 3 Gameplay at E3? Publisher Says “No” (For Today)

Tomorrow, who knows?

Shenmue 3

Ys Net’s Shenmue 3 hasn’t had a lot of information since it was first announced at E3 2015 and its Kickstarter successfully raised more than $6 million in crowd-funding. While publisher Shibuya Productions was dropping hints over the week about the game, hinting at a possible at E3 2016 appearance, that’s somewhat up in the air.

We say somewhat because Shibuya Productions president Cedric Biscay responded to a fan’s question on Twitter about gameplay at E3 with, “Today my answer is no.”

Does that mean tomorrow the answer will be different? That’s why it’s called a tease, we suppose. Then again, it’s highly possible that Shenmue 3 doesn’t appear. With Sony backing the project, thus facilitating a PS4 and PC release, you’d think the publisher would promote as much. Regardless, we’ll only find out when E3 arrives next week.
