It’s hard to believe that several years ago we got the unexpected announcement of a Kickstarter for Shenmue 3. The experiment was a resounding success and the game was funded in record time, giving us a sequel we never expected could happen. It’s been a rocky road since then, with a pretty major delay earlier in this year, and some unexpected controversy and bitterness regarding the PC version. But after a long journey, we’re one step closer to Shenmue 3 being on shelves as the game has gone gold.
Via Twitter user Wario64, we got an e-mail to an unidentified fan where it is asked if the game has gone gold from the official Shenmue account. They confirm that development on the main game has, in fact, gone gold.
Shenmue 3 will release next month on November 19th for both the PlayStation 4 and PC. It’s been a long road for fans, but here we are. For a look at the calming and chill environments you can expect to come across, go through here.
