It’s November now, and the next installment in the Shenmue series is almost here. It’s been a long road to finally get here, filled with many bumps on the way. Developer Ys Net has been releasing videos focusing on various aspects of the game in the lead up to the launch, such as the town and characters. Today we get a look at the game’s combat and training modes.

With Shenmue, not a lot of people think of the game’s combat, instead opting to think more about the game’s unique pacing and setting, but it is there. In a new video, Director Yu Suzuki talks a little about the combat and we get to see some clips of Ryo duking it out. To win against harder enemies and bosses, you’ll need to train at the dojo, which you see footage of near the end of the video. Don’t worry too much if that’s a bit much for you as there will be multiple difficulty levels to chose from. Check it out below.

Shenmue 3 will release November 19th for PlayStation 4 and PC. For 14 things you’ll need to know before going into the game, check it out through here.
