Ys Net has released the launch trailer for Shenmue 3, perhaps one of the most highly anticipated sequels of all time. The trailer talks of a “story renewed” and showcases many of the new characters that protagonist Ryo Hazuki will encounter. This includes some villains like the antagonist Lan Di.

Shenmue 3 was first announced at E3 2015 and funded through Kickstarter. It raised a whopping $2 million in less than seven hours before ending its campaign with $7.1 million raised. A number of controversies have cropped up though, the most recent being the game’s exclusivity to the Epic Games Store with the PC version.

Nonetheless, it’s hard not to get hyped for the release. Shenmue 3 is out on November 19th for PS4 and PC players. Kickstarter backers are reportedly receiving their copies so expect more impressions and details in the coming week. In the meantime, head here for 14 things you should know about the game before playing and here for more combat gameplay.
