Shenmue 3 New Gameplay Footage Will Debut At Gamescom This Year

Shenmue 3 was announced two years ago, and development on it has been trucking along steadily in the background ever since. However, if the recent low profile the game has been keeping, as well as its delay into next year, had the alarm bells ringing – after all, crowdfunded projects have a history of going sideways – then the good news is, you’ll soon have a concrete update on the game.

Posting in in an update, Ys Net, the developers of the game, confirmed that there will be new gameplay footage for the game debuting at Gamescom this year- so we should soon see how the game is coming along. A new logo for the game was also debuted (although honestly, it’s just the old one, but with a different texture for the text).

Shenmue 3 is currently announced for the PS4 and PC. The game is due to release some time in 2018. Stay tuned for more coverage and information.
