Shenmue 3 has been a long time coming- and assuming that it actually makes its 2018 release date, fans will have waited for the better part of two decades for it to launch. While we’re still not sure that will happen, we have something to whet your appetites in the meanwhile. Developers Ys Net have released a new batch of screenshots for the game today.
The screenshots show a game that is far along in development (unlike some of the earlier glimpses we got at it, where it was clear the game was in a prototype stage)- we see finished environments, and even characters. What we see looks good- while Shenmue may no longer be cutting edge graphical tech like the original was back in the day, it is clear it won’t disappoint its fans by looking subpar, either.
Shenmue 3 is going to launch, allegedly, later this year on PS4 and PC.
