Frogwares’ upcoming Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is looking like quite an interesting prospect, especially for fans of the series. Set in the Mediterranean and focusing on a younger Sherlock before he became the crime-solving mastermind we all know him as, it’s promising a new and fresh take on the legendary character. In a newly released trailer, we get a glimpse of what the game is going to be about.

The trailer sets up a personal story for Sherlock himself, one that may end up having higher stakes for him than he would have imagined, while also giving us yet another look at what we can expect from this younger, more brash take on his character. Meanwhile, IGN have also uploaded a hands-on preview of the game, showing new gameplay footage and talking about various gameplay details. Check out both videos below.

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is due out later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, though a specific release date is yet to be confirmed. You can get more details on the game in our interview with Frogwares producer and community manager Sergey Oganesyan through here.
