Frogwares will be going back to the beginning with Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, focusing on the detective’s life before fame. In a new video, the development team has answered questions from fans, discussing the game’s mechanics and playtime. It noted that the main story will take about 12 to 15 hours to complete with five main quests to take on.

If you’re keen on seeing everything – including the over 30 side quests – then it will take about 40 to 50 hours. Some side quests are stated to be as big as the main quests so there’s plenty to look forward to. Players will also be free to explore the open world after finishing the first main quest and do whatever they please.

It also confirmed that disguises will be included and players can don different outfits to access closed areas or gain someone’s trust. Hats, glasses, facial hair and so on can be used along with wrinkles and bruises. This is also useful for those who simply want to change Sherlock’s looks.

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One will release later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
