It’s been a long time coming, with the game having been announced all the way back in 2017, but Atlus’ long-awaited Shin Megami Tensei 5 is finally almost upon us. With its launch just a few months away, Atlus has been showing us more of the RPG with regular new trailers, and now, they’ve released a rather meaty new trailer.

Shin Megami Tensei 5 sees the protagonist fusing with a being named Aogami to morph into the entity Nahobino, whose powers he must then use to save Tokyo from impending doom. Shin Megami Tensei stories are always extremely high stakes and center on cosmic battles between ethereal forces, and SMT5 seems to be following in those footsteps- except with production values much higher than series fans will probably be used to. Check out the trailer below.

Shin Megami Tensei 5 is out exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 12. You can check out more extensive gameplay footage from the highly awaited RPG through here, and get details on its premium editions through here.
