Shin Megami Tensei III HD Remaster

When Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster was announced, many fans wondered if it would fulfill the legacy of the original. Would it still have Dante from Devil May Cry, just like “Featuring Dante From the Devil May Cry Series” sticker promised? Atlus has announced that Dante is coming but as paid DLC.

He’s included in the “Maniax Pack” which costs 980 Yen and it will be available at launch alongside the game in Japan. Dante essentially replaces Raidou Kuzunoha, who appeared as a guest in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Chronicle Edition from 2008. The latter is best known for Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon. By selecting “New Game ~Maniax~” from the title, Dante will appear instead.

His look mirrors that of the classic Devil May Cry and a new “Pierce effect” has been added to his skill “Son’s Oath.” The title screen movie and logo will also be changed, displaying Shin Megami Tense III: Nocturne Maniax instead. The remaster is out on October 29th in Japan for PS4 and Switch but launches worldwide in Spring 2021.
