Yacht Club Games’ acclaimed indie platformer Shovel Knight will be releasing on Nintendo Switch along with its next expansion Specter of Torment. Though a release date wasn’t provided, we could likely hear something during Nintendo’s presentation tomorrow.

Shovel Knight will also be undergoing a few changes. The overall package will now be called Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove with the base campaign called Shovel of Hope. The price of Treasure Trove will be increasing as a result this Spring but if you already own Shovel Knight, all of the content – from Shovel of Hope and Plague of Shadows to Specter of Torment and the upcoming King Knight expansion – will be free.

It should be noted that each standalone campaign will be sold for cheaper on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch in the future.

Other content coming to Shovel Knight includes Body Swap, which allows you to change characters’ looks while retaining the same gameplay. The local co-op mode will also be heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC after only being available for Wii U players who owned the Shovel Knight Amiibo.
