Since the announcement of the Silent Hill 2 remake, developer Bloober Team has insisted on multiple occasions that the game is nearing the end of development, which has made the wait for its release that much more torturous. It seems, however, that the survival horror remake is preparing to move in the full-fledged pe-launch marketing stage.
That’s as per the CEO of Bloober Team himself, Piotr Babieno, who said during a recent presentation (via Polish outlet Bankier) that the promotional campaign for Silent Hill 2 is going to begin “very soon”. Babieno did so after reiterating that, as the publisher, Konami is in charge of marketing and sharing new updates on the game.
“It is Konami that is developing the promotional campaign (…) we believe that this promotion will start very soon,” he said.
In November, Bloober Team said in a statement that development on Silent Hill 2 was “progressing smoothly and in accordance with our schedule”.
Though Konami has yet to officially announce a release date for the game, PlayStation recently confirmed that Silent Hill 2 will be releasing sometime this year. Upon launch, the game will be available on PS5 and PC.
