Well, isn’t this a wonderful day to be a fan of Silent Hill, both truly and ironically? Konami has just released a patch and product update for Silent Hill: Downpour which seeks to correct several bugs that have been remaining in the game since it’s releases last March. So gamers can look forward to an improved frame rate, save game system fixes, bugs fixed in the “Homeless” side quest/mission and other general performance enhancements and bug fixes.
Unfortunately, the patch only seems to be deployed for the PS3 version of the game. It has thus been cancelled for the XBox 360 edition due to technical issues and resources. Yes, you read that right. If you’re having problems with Downpour, then the best help Konami can provide is three words: Deal with it.
Which might be a bad time to say that Silent Hill: Downpour is going available for download via XBOX Live Games on Demand, beginning on October 30 for $39.99.
