Silent Hills Might Be A Ways Away

No Silent Hills for you! Or well, at least not for a while, in any case.

TP Silent Hills PS4

P.T. has generated so much viral hype, it’s actually ridiculous, but for good reason. Not only does the interactive teaser that Kojima released seem to actually understand and channel what made Silent Hill so amazing to begin with, but it has also, in true Kojima fashion, been loaded with cryptic hints and easter eggs, which have prompted days of fan speculation and theories.

Given so much insane hype, one would hope that the game is actually very near release, right? I know I would, if I were aboard the rabid fanbase that grows around the title by the day. Unfortunately, it seems like the game may actually be quite  a ways off from release, at least if its official website is to be believed. The jobs listings on that website were recently updated, and it seems like, judging by them, the game is actually a fair way away from release, as some of the job listings seem to indicate the game is still in its early planning and conception stages.

It’s a bit of a disappointment, but really, considering that Kojima is probably extremely hard at work on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain right now, I probably wouldn’t have it any other way.
