SimCity Introduction Video Released by Maxis: Now Build, You Fools!

A primer into the mechanics and sins of SimCity-ing

Posted By | On 10th, Jan. 2013

A new introduction video has been brought out by Maxis for the upcoming reboot of SimCity.

The game, due to release for PC and Mac on March 8th, takes the SimCity experience to proper blockbuster proportions, allowing the rendering of thousands of Sims and structures at once. The introduction video showcases just what you’re in for when you start the game.

Several of the features showcased include multi-city play, wherein players from several cities can exist on one grid and cooperate with each other or a single player can command up to 16 cities at once, an expansive aerial view of one of the regions before it transforms into a city, specialized cities like those that go into clean nuclear, wind power, tourism and whatnot.

And to top it off, it showcases one of the Great Works players can band together to create: The Space Centre. Check it all out above, in sumptuously rendered glory.
