Skyrim – Details about race-specific enchantments and companions

Posted By | On 01st, Nov. 2011

We’ve all been having several questions about Bethesda’s upcoming The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and it’s understandable, seeing as Skyrim is a huge game and there are so many things we don’t know about it. But Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, has given us some details.

He’s revealed that each race in Skyrim will start with some enchantment skill, no matter which race it is. Which means that you will still have some enchantment skills at the beginning of your game even if you’re an orc.

“Every race starts with some enchanting skill,” Hines said when asked about the same.

He also revealed that we will only be able to complete and play quests with just one friend in-game, but not more than that. “You can only have one companion at a time,” he said.

You can watch the new Making Of video for Skyrim’s new trailer here, and another beautiful video of the concept art and how it’s rendered in-game here.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim releases this month for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Stay tuned for more info.
