Nintendo may not have been all that interested in bringing Bethesda games to its platforms but that’s recently changed with The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim coming to Switch.

Director Todd Howard spoke to GameSpot about the same and also talked about the Switch. “I think it’s really smart what they’ve done. I think it’s the kind of device that only Nintendo could make. It’s exciting to bring Skyrim to the Nintendo audience.”

Nintendo has been a “very good partner” when it comes to Skyrim on the Switch, “Whereas before they were less interested in the types of things that we did or some other groups did.”

As for how well the Switch will do, Howard said, “I don’t know where it’s gonna go. But I think it’s a really smart platform. We like it a lot.”

Nintendo Switch is out on March 3rd worldwide while Skyrim will arrive in the Fall. What are your thoughts on the console? Let us know below.
