2021 may not have had too many generation-defining releases along the likes of something like God of War or Red Dead Redemption 2, but there was still a deluge of excellent games over the course of the past twelve months. Naturally, that means some games ended up getting way less attention than they probably deserved. Having already spoken about such games in a previous feature, here, we’ll be talking about fifteen more- because yes, there were that many (and then some).

DEATH’S DOOR

Death’s Door is admittedly one of the highest rated and most talked about indie games of the year, but even so, a game this good needs way more recognition. Games inspired by the classic Zelda formula aren’t exactly hard to come by, but very few make that formula their own the way Acid Nerve’s action-adventure game did, from its nail-biting challenge to its charming characters unique premise.
